About Me & Resume

Hello, my name is Martyn Jones. I am originally from Wales (Wiki link) in the UK, but I have been based in South East Asia for the past 4 years. I am passionate about Interaction Design and derive a lot of satisfaction from being apart of this emerging field. Recently I have been involved with modern pedagogical research and eLearning projects. I am keen to pursue the idea that constructivist approaches to information dissemination and acquisition, emotional intelligence and interaction design overlap greatly and that the right combination will lead to some very engaging and powerful human-computer interactive experiences.

Computer Games & Interactive Educational Materials

4Di: Future Schools
Singapore Government Infocomm Development Authority

This leverages 3D educational games with simulations, interactive digital media and mobile learning applications. The games are designed to support experiential and inquiry-based learning. As students participate in the games, they can role play, collaborate in decision-making situations and learn problem-solving skills. In addition, students can immerse in real-world scenarios in a 4D laboratory equipped with multi-sensory tools. Thus, students will enjoy rich learning experiences which are anchored in both the real and virtual worlds.

VLTrek: Future Schools
Singapore Government Infocomm Development Authority

The underlying principle is constructivist. Students construct their own knowledge in partnership with other students, teachers or parents, building information on what they need to know. Since the solution is student-centric, the students become masters of information, media and technology, which fosters ingenuity and creativity.
